Additional Information

"Recess" was originally going to be called "Z.A.K.", which is an acronym for "Zion, Amethyst, and Kundalini", because the three themes of this event are a gathering of fellowship in peace and joy (i.e., "Z" for "Zion"), sobriety and higher levels of consciousness that are not inhibited by the hustle and bustle of ordinary life (i.e., "A" for "Amethyst"), and the ability to experience an awakening via being totally and naturally intimate with allowing the spirit to enjoy the life of being a human here on Earth. In simpler terms, "Recess" is literally meant to resemble elements of recess itself, but in all seriousness, it is also meant for people to break free from the matrix. "Recess" will have activities such as acoustic music, face painting, yoga, recreational sports, arts and crafts, and "foot washing". The activities such as "arts and crafts" and "face painting" will have supplies readily available for anyone who wishes to participate, but as for the other activities, people will have to bring their own supplies. There will also be some snacks, water, and a first-aid kit available. This event is pet-friendly and open to all ages. Because one of the themes of "Recess" is "Amethyst", there is no alcohol allowed on the premises of Hasbrouck Park (in New Paltz, NY). It will also be another ordinary day in New Paltz so that businesses do not have to change their hours of operation because "Recess" will be happening.
