World-renowned authority on orchids, Tom Mirenda, will give a presentation to the Mid Hudson Orchid Society on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. His topic will be Orchid Hunting in Central America. Tom has written extensively for the American Orchid Society’s magazine, ‘ORCHIDS’. He is particularly passionate about orchid conservation.
Tom has made presentations to diverse audiences from scientists to the general public on topics such as orchid ecology, cultivation, pollination, and orchid conservation.
