Members of the Putnam Valley High School National Honor Society plan to carry on the ‘giving spirit’ of their much loved Social Studies teacher, Ed Schmitt, who passed away in February 2012 after a long battle with leukemia. The students will host their fourth blood drive, titled Give Red for Ed in conjunction with New York Blood Center on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM at Putnam Valley High School, 146 Peekskill Hollow Road in Putnam Valley.
