The Country Roads Ride is a yearly event. Some of our regular rides pass a large pasture, no different from any other pasture except for the herd of camels grazing in the distance. Those camels were rescued after movie, advertising, and circus careers by the Sanctuary for Animals, and live o the farm with hundreds of other rescued animals of many different species. They are a registered non-profit, but has no formal fund raising operation. We help them out with our Country Roads tour, and the camels show their appreciation with a personal appearance at the festival. The hills remind us of their humps so the camels have become our talisman. We salute them as we ride by.
