This is a program of simple yet profound exercises taken from the ancient Taoist traditions and Chinese medical system. By coordinating breath and movement in enjoyable, easy to learn patterns and stretches, we move together towards optimum health and well-being, and discover the possibility of a longevity we can enjoy. You will receive support materials, both printed and online links, to support you in an ongoing practice which will continue to unfold and deepen over time.

Class is intended for older adults, 55+. Wear comfortable clothing. Contact library to register; space is limited. Must commit to full series for 6-weeks. Free.

Happens on the Third Floor. (There is an elevator in the rear of the building if needed.)

About the instructor, Celeste Graves MA, C-IAYT: Moving for health has long been Celeste’s personal and professional theme. She holds a masters degree in Dance Therapy from New York University and is also a Certified Yoga Therapist through the prestigious International Association of Yoga Therapists, trained in the Phoenix Rising Method. Over the last decade, as a Board Certified Instructor and Senior Trainer with the Tai Chi for Health Institute, Celeste has been focusing her efforts on Tai Chi and Qigong - particularly with the aging population to which she herself belongs. She travels throughout Ulster County for UCOFA teaching Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention. She is delighted to be in Tivoli and Dutchess County for this special Qigong offering, with a “touch of tai chi…”
