JK Rowling is giving us more Harry Potter!

The Wizarding World is alive and well in the imagination of J.K. Rowling.  The author is giving fans an update on the characters of her beloved series, almost seven years after it concluded.  She's published a short story that's available to read on her website Pottermore.  The story is penned from the perspective of character Rita Skeeter, the cunning gossip columnist from fictional Wizarding newspaper, "The Daily Prophet."  She describes Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger in their early 30s and reuniting at the Quidditch World Cup Finals.

Harry is still married to Ron's sister Ginny and "has a couple of threads of silver in his hair."  Ron runs his family's joke shop and Hermione is in the government as Deputy Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.  Rowling has more updates on characters like Luna and Neville, and gives a glimpse at the new generation as well.

Will this lead to another book about Harry? His Friends? Or even another movie? We can hope.
