Hudson Valley Police Department Needs Volunteers

The City of Poughkeepsie needs YOU to volunteer. The Police department is bringing back is civilian patrol, and to make this happen, they need some folks to volunteer and help out.

How will the volunteers help? The patrol would serve as the eyes and ears to the city, informing the police on anything from suspicious activity to open windows in vacant buildings or dead lights in the city.

The city needs at least 20 volunteers to start the program. Volunteers will receive free training. To volunteer or get more information, email LT. Richard Wilson at civilianpatrol@cityofpoughkeepsie.com.
