A local couple have been arrested by the Kingston Police Department for allegedly robbing a local teenager at knife-point in the city of Kingston in Ulster County.

According to the Kingston Police Departments Facebook page, police received a call on August 1st, that a robbery had taken place on Farrelly street in the city of Kingston.

After police responded and investigated the call, they determined that Jamelle K. Johnson and Tasia R. Saunders both 26 years old and both live on Colonial Drive in Kingston, robbed a 17 year old victim at knife point taking cash and other personal items.

Both Johnson and Saunders were quickly found by police and brought to the Kingston Police Department and arrested. The couple were charged with the felony of second degree robbery.

The couple were arraigned in Kingston City Court and were both sent to Ulster County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond each.
