Fundraiser with New York Giants Hero Coming to Monroe, NY

On April 7th, the Hudson Valley will gather to support Aidan King and his battle against cancer. The fundraiser in his benefit is being sent into overdrive with the appearance of none other than Jay Alford, a former New York Giant who made one of the most memorable plays of Super Bowl XLII.

Super Bowl Hero Jay Alford Coming to Monroe, NY

With twenty-five seconds left in the the game and the New York Giants just three points ahead of the previously-undefeated New England Patriots, Jay Alford burst through the center of the offensive line to tackle Tom Brady for a ten yard loss. The Giants would go on to ruin the Patriots run at a perfect season and claim the title of Super Bowl XLII Champions.

Fundraiser Information

The fundraiser at the Tequila Grille, located at 63 Still Road in Monroe, NY will run from 1pm to 5pm on Sunday April 7th. There will be a raffle, tricky tray, and photo opportunities available with Jay Alford as part of the fundraising efforts, and a portion of all sales from the restaurant will go to Aidan King as well.

Though Alford went to high school in New Jersey, the Hudson Valley is full of home-grown athletes as well.
