Amed Rosario is a name that Mets fans are going to be saying a lot for the next decade. It seems like the everyone has been waiting for Amed to put all the potential he has into reality, and it's finally happening right now.

Amed was recently called the best defensive shortstop of the Eastern League (Double A), he was also called the most exciting, the best hitter and the best shortstop of the league he just left, The Florida State League (Single A).

Since being promoted to Binghamton, Amed has hit  .358 with a .411 on base percentage and .514 slugging percentage in 29 games. Just to show off, he also has 4 triples. He's not just doing well, he's hitting out of his mind. And he's a defensive whiz.

I've seen a few reports floating around the internet that at the end of the year, Amed will be ranked in the top 10 of prospects in all of baseball. I know that David Wright was ranked very highly overall, #21, and he owns most of the Mets offensive records. But the Mets have not seen a position player this talented since Jose Reyes. That's not hyperbole; Jose was ranked #3 in the world.

And Amed might be right there.  That's nuts.

If you get a chance to see the Binghamton Mets, you really should. You might be watching a future All-Star and the future of the Mets.
