Reports are that the Giants are moving on from one of the more outspoken, popular players left from the Super Bowl Team in 2011.

Thanks for the memories, Steve Weatherford.  He signed with the Giants in 2011 and immediately went to the promised land of the Super Bowl. He had, from all accounts, a pretty horrific ankle injury early in the season last year and fought through like a champ.

However, the salary cap rules all in the NFL, and the Giants are saving over $2 million this year by moving on from Steve. I'm betting we'll see a slightly older, more established player signed to help shore up the defense with the last round of roster cuts heading our way soon.
