Pearl Jam is asking for you to join them in helping the people of Flint Michigan.

The band recently donated $125,000 to help the people in the city of Flint get drinking water. The city of Flint, has dangerous amounts of lead in their drinking water and people are in desperate need of help.

Not to be outdone, Live Nation, Republic Records, Universal Music, Ticketmaster and a few others also contributed, bringing the total donation to 300-thousand dollars. Pearl Jam is not asking you to help match it. 100% of the money raised will go to the United Way's Flint Water Fund.

The Flint water crisis first started in 2014 when the town of Flint changed where they were getting their water from. They had been getting it from Lake Huron and changed it to sourcing from the Flint River. Unbeknownst to citizens of the town, there was elements in the Flint River water that caused the break down of the cities pipes, which allowed those pipes to break down and leach lead into the drinking water supply.
