A Hudson Valley man was visited by police who were concerned with a post he made on Facebook that referred to "going on a rampage with a Semi-Automatic."

Noah Simon of Poughkeepsie says he was just frustrated with how his selfie came out and was not actually threatening to hurt anyone. His Facebook post, however, led police to his door because he says it talked about using a gun. A photo of Simon was captioned with "this is the picture I want used in the newspapers when I go on a rampage with a Semi-Automatic."

Simon says that law enforcement showed up to his house and asked him to turn over his gun. The Facebook user told us that he doesn't actually own a gun, but the request left him "terrified and shocked."

It's not clear how police found out about the post. Simon points to comments under the photo that he claims is proof none of his friends felt threatened. The Poughkeepsie man told us that he understands why police questioned him and is only "pissed off" at himself. He says that he wasn't trying to make a joke, the statement was made out of frustration over how his selfie turned out.

Simon, a Trump supporter, says he's learned a valuable lesson about "political correction" from the police officer, who he says is also supporting Trump for president.

When asked if he would think twice about making similar statements on social media in the future, Simon says he wouldn't want to make a comment that leads people to think he's going to kill anyone, but added "it's happened so many times habitually it's wrong (to) promise."

(Note: Simon would not allow us to speak to him without recording the conversation, so we opted to conduct the interview over Twitter. You can see the full exchange on my personal feed and read Simon's answers in his own words.)
