A Poughkeepsie woman faces grand larceny charges following a bank fraud investigation.

Arline M. Dennis, 58, was arrested Tuesday after police say she stole nearly $3,000 from the TEG Federal Credit Union, New York State Police announced in a press release.

An employee of the bank's Commerce Street branch contacted investigators from the new York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Poughkeepsie barracks in December of 2015 to report fraudulent transactions.

The New York State Police Financial Crimes Unit partnered with Poughkeepsie troopers in a lengthy investigation, which revealed Dennis created an account with the credit union for fraudulent activity, authorities said. Dennis allegedly wired illicit funds into the account and then withdrew the money. She is accused of stealing $2,945 from TEF Federal Credit Union in the process.

Dennis was issued a ticket to appear in the Town of LaGrange Justice Court on Tuesday, July 5.
