Running Calendar for June: You Can Be a Spartan or a Maniac

Racing season is about to kick up something fierce. There's always road races, but I have a tendency to need something interesting to look at in order to run a regular race. The summer is shaping up to be kind of fantastic for OCR's and mud runs, so I'll keep posting about them month by month. I'm going to be adding road races in the future, like the one near West Point that runs along the Hudson River.

June 5th - Your First Mud Run
White Plains, NY.

June 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th - Spartan Race
Tuxedo, NY.
$99 before promo codes. This is the race that turned me into an OCR junkie. I'll be running it, but very very slowly.

June 25th - Rugged Maniac
Brooklyn, NY
$89 before promo codes. RM is not the most serious of OCR's (like Spartan), but they're supposed to be a damn good time. I won't be going but I have friends who make it a priority to do this race every year.
