Craft Vodka Distillery, Hangar One has turned what could potentially be seen as an 'unlimited local resource' into a specialty vodka.

Hangar One Distillery is based in the San Fransicsco Bay area and they were looking for sustainable sources of water because of the current California water drought. Hangar One teamed up with the company called 'Fog Quest' which is a non-for-profit company that helps impoverished areas create a sustainable water supply. Fog Quest came up with a system to collect fog water by hanging sheets of mesh that get waterlogged during the periods of dense Bay Area fog. The water gets absorbed by the sheets and then drips down into a collection container. It took six months to get enough water to make one batch of the vodka.

The vodka is called Fog Point and will retail for about $125 a bottle. Fog Quest will be getting all of the profits from the sales of this limited edition vodka.
