A Putnam County woman faces felony drug charges after allegedly selling heroin in the Mahopac section of the Town of Carmel.

Lindsey Schupp, 23, of Carmel was arrested Monday and charged with criminal sale of a controlled dangerous substance and criminal possession of a controlled dangerous substance, both felonies. Schupp also faces a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child, though the circumstances related to the charge were not immediately available.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office said in a press release that the agency's Narcotics Enforcement Unit received information that Schupp was selling heroin in the area. An investigator with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office arranged for Schupp to sell him the drug on several occasions in Carmel, according to a press release issued by the agency.

Schupp was arraigned in the Town of Carmel Justice Court and remanded to Putnam County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash bail.

She faces up to 25 years in prison and a fine of up to $30,000, if convicted.
