On Sunday, April 15 I went back to Dutchess Community College for the monthly Pokémon Go Community Day. It was a bit chilly, so many trainers came prepared with winter coats and fingerless gloves.

Pokémon Go in the Hudson Valley is a public Facebook group with almost 3,000 members. It's where trainers come and share their latest catches and boast about their shiny count. The Community Day organizer and moderator of the group's Facebook page came down to the WRRV studios to help me request your augmented reality photos.

Justin Sleight from Poughkeepsie cleverly caught Mareep hanging out by the DCC sign. Great job to everyone else who submitted their AR photos on the Facebook Page. There were a few other really cool AR photos and I encourage everyone next month to take even more!

This community day is growing fast and people of all ages are joining in on the fun. There's one family that drove an hour and a half just to participate. That's some true Pokémon Spirit!
