Leave it to The Twilight Zone to steal Black Mirror’s thunder. A new iteration of the classic sci-fi anthology is officially confirmed for CBS’ streaming arm, as helmed by Get Out director Jordan Peele and X-Men vet Simon Kinberg.

It looks like Star Trek isn’t the only sci-fi icon finding new life on CBS All Access. Network heads confirm that a Twilight Zone reboot is in development for the streaming branch, as produced by Get Out director and Key & Peele favorite Jordan Peele.

There’s a reason the “redshirt” trope is named for Star Trek, in that main characters are very rarely in real mortal danger. On the other end, Game of Thrones manages to kill pretty indiscriminately, and Star Trek: Discovery bosses now claim to be borrowing one of George R.R. Martin’s pages for the new series.

The satirical “Stephen Colbert” has made enough Late Show returns that the Colbert Report reprisal is almost old-hat, though there’s something to be said for the character’s fallen inspiration. As such, watch the fictional Colbert say goodbye to spiritual mentor Bill O’Reilly, following the Fox News host’s Wednesday ouster.

The Big Bang Theory is certainly up there in its twilight years, but the TV world will not be bereft of “Bazinga!” for long. Prequel spinoff series Young Sheldon is officially coming to CBS, with none other than Jon Favreau attached to direct.

If you thought the cord-cutters’ market was aggressive before, just wait until you get a load of YouTube TV. The online video staple announced the full scope of its live TV bundle, complete with unlimited cloud DVR and a moderate monthly subscription fee.
