I have seen the future of the movie theater experience and it is absolutely terrifying.

The first 3D movie premiered in 1922 and we have come a long way since then.

Video games have been dabbling with VR technology for years now. People don't want to just sit on the couch anymore and play with a gaming controller. Some gamers want to live the game with an immersive experience.

The same idea is being applied to the movie going experience. Imagine seeing something blow up and you do not just see debris fly at you but you also feel the wind in you hair and the heat from the flames.

5D cinemas are scaring people on social media for obvious reasons.

You can't yell fire in a crowded room unless of course you actually believe that there is a fire and with these new 5D cinemas it may be easy confuse the movie effects with real life. Put a bunch of people in VR goggles and make it look like the small theater What could possibly go wrong?

Check out this video taken at a 5D movie theater in China.

Would you ever go to a movie theater for this experience? What movie would you want to see? I think Twister would be a blast to see here.
