The Bravery are hail from NYC, so I think I can say they're local. Dropping their first album back in 2005, "An Honest Mistake" was the first single off their self titled debut. "An Honest Mistake" got major play all over the place, appearing in numerous video games and movies.

Here's the thing about this song and it's sound. It was clearly ahead of its time. You could call it indie/disco/punk and still be wrong by half. It encompassed a lot of different genres and it got you to dance. It would almost appear to be something of a grandfather for the way the music scene has evolved in the past 2 years. If The Bravery released this song for the first time, right now, it would probably be bigger than it was the first time and fit in perfectly with the times.

AND it's the first song of their career. That's a weighty statement.
