Throwback Thursday: The Hives – Hate To Say I Told You So

The first single off The Hives second album, "Veni Vidi Vicious", "Hate To Say I Told You So" was released in December of 2000....and then RE-released in 2002 in the US. It's got a huge history behind it.

On the Spider-Man soundtrack, on the soundtrack for Nitro Circus, on multiple video games and the trailer for the movie "Home". It eventually reached #6 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks, and #86 on their top 100.

Along with Franz Ferdinand and a few other bands, I really thought this was going to blow the second coming of garage rock sky high. It didn't quite happen, but *sigh* the memories we have of that wonderful era will last us forever.
