1994. Just as grunge and pop-punk were starting to dominate the scene, this bizarre named band from California dropped this poppy alterna-tune.

Toad The Wet Sprocket formed in 1986 and got their name from a Monty Python sketch. Decidedly more mellow and soulful than their contemporaries, they had a few hits like "Walk On The Ocean" and "Something's Always Wrong". They helped to pave the way for the power pop bands of the late 90's, like Stroke 9 and Nine Days.

They had some great albums, but "Fall Down" will always be my favorite single moment from them. Somehow I can still sing along whenever I hear the intro kick up.
