The good news is Tool has announced a Halloween show for later this year. The bad news, it's in Arizona. But the line-up might be worth the trip.

Tool has teamed up with Primus and Coheed and Cambria for 'Monster Mash' a one day festival in Tempe. You can expect things to get weird at this one folks.

Work continues on a new Tool album which has been slowed by a lingering legal case. Thankfully that wrapped up earlier this year, and work on the new project has accelerated. Guitarist Adam Jones says they have some potentially solid material, and there's no shortage of it. He's described the music as, "heavy, complex and atmospheric".

The band last took the stage together in 2014, but their last album was released in 2006. The world is ready for new music from Tool. Frontman Maynard James Keenan also plans to release a new album with his side project Puscifer sometime this fall.
