Police recovered heroin, marijuana, and more following a traffic stop in Ulster County.

Members of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle on North Front Street in the City of Kingston for a traffic violation. Police say the found 90 "bags" or "decks" of heroin, marijuana, drug packaging material and over $500.

Maria I. Otero, 24, of Kingston, was charged with 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, and 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor.

Rakim N. Bryant, 23, of Kingston and 26-year-old Elena I. Hornbeck, of Watertown both received violations for unlawful possession of marijuana.

Bryant and Hornbeck were released on an appearance ticket to appear in the City of Kingston Court. Otero was arraigned in the Town of Olive Justice Court and was remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $250,000 cash bail or $500,000 property bond.
