While this may not be the best winter weekend to go sledding, ice skating, or snow shoeing, it can still be a fun weekend with all of the great and varied events going on throughout the Hudson Valley. Here's just a few ideas for you and your friends and family.

Saturday, January 16, 3 pm: 'The Music Man' will be performed at The Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck, 661 Rte. 308 in Rhinebeck. This musical is a fun look at a bygone era as it follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill when he comes to the quaint town of River City, Iowa, and cons them into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize – despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef!  His plans are foiled when he falls for spirited Marian (the librarian), who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall. Performances for the show are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 3 pm. There are also two special Saturday matinees on Saturday Jan. 16th and Jan. 23rd at 3 pm. Admission is  $27 and  $25 for seniors & children.
