This is an odd choice. No one really thinks creepy Halloween music and instinctively goes "Jimmy Eat World!"

But this song. If you're by yourself listening to it in a dark room, it'll sneak up on you.

The violins playing the background for the entire song, and almost a drone to start the song with the acoustic guitar. It evokes images of shadows crawling over walls.

The lyrics are pure gold when it comes to freak factor. Here's a few choice selections:

Will they see the sky again?
Who will sing they're blues for them?

Let the virus spread
She's the silk lining in my bed

Will they breath our again?
Who will sing their blues for them?

Where ya gonna run when they come for you?
Will there someone left to sing your blues?

There is an ominous undercurrent through the entire song. The strings in the background rising and driving, but with some skittish other sounds like dark, scary things scuttling under your bed at night.

You might normally think Jimmy Eat World when you want Halloween music, but "Gotta Be Somebody's Blues" is so out of character that it carries even more weight with pure scare factor.

You need this on your playlist.
