In separate incidents, two teens were shot in Poughkeepsie. Police are asking for help in finding the people responsible.

On Tuesday just before 7 p.m., City of Poughkeepsie Police dispatch received calls reporting multiple shots fired in the area of 51 Lent Street. Responding officers located a 17-year-old City of Poughkeepsie resident with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, police say.
Mobile Life Support Services and the City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department also responded to the scene to treat the victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital.
On Thursday around 6:45 p.m., City of Poughkeepsie officers responded to N. Clinton Street for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 17-year-old man suffering a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Officers secured the scene and rendered aid to the victim.
The victim was subsequently transported to Mid Hudson Regional Hospital in serious condition, police say. The victim’s condition is unknown at this time
Crime Scene Technicians and detectives responded to the scene and multiple items of evidence were recovered.
The investigation into both shootings is ongoing. Anyone with information on these incidents or any other violent crimes in the City of Poughkeepsie is encouraged to call 845-451-7577.
