Neighborhood complaints resulted in a Linden Avenue drug bust on Friday, City of Middletown police said in a press release.

The Middletown Police Department's Narcotics Unit executed search warrants on two apartments at 152 Linden Avenue at 2:55PM after receiving multiple tips about the sale and trafficking of drugs at the properties.

Police seized 28 bags of crack cocaine, as well as scales, packaging materials and related drug paraphernalia. Five people were arrested and charged following the apartment search.

Tammy Paterson was charged with felony criminal nuisance. Brandy Paterson was charged with one count of third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies. Darryl Lockhart was charged with a felony count of tampering with physical evidence and a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Two other women were charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance. All five are Middletown residents. Their ages were not released.
