Following a joint investigation four Newburgh residents were arrested three are facing felony marijuana charges.

New York State Police from Middletown charged 20-year-old Nascia A. Hinson, 39-year-old Amin Hinson and 34-year-old Melanie M. Turner all from Newburgh with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a class D felony.

The arrests stems from an Oct. 17 joint venture between the New York State Police and Orange County Probation at the groups Town of Newburgh home.

Amin Hinson was arrested on Oct. 17, arraigned in the Town of Wawayanda Court and remanded Amin to Orange County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond.

Melanie Turner was arrested on Oct. 18, 2016. She was then arraigned in the Town of Wallkill Court before and remanded Melanie Turner to Orange County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.

Nascia A. Hinson was arrested on Friday in the City of Newburgh. During the arrest, Maikka Powell was charged with obstructing governmental administration. Both were arraigned before the City of Newburgh and remanded to Orange County Jail.

Police did not say how much marijuana was allegedly found.
