It seems like this post should start out with a spandex joke. The dry and warm weather continues for the Hudson Valley. Friday, we’ll nudge that thermostat up a bit as we climb to a high of 80. High pressure will stall over the Great Lakes and control our weather pattern into Saturday night. Starting Saturday night, a low-pressure system moves through the area and may bring in some showers.  We’ll mention that, but really it is dry and sunny over the weekend. Seasonal temperatures continue as far as the eye can see. We should hold 80 for at least two days and then it drops back a bit into the mid-70s. Sounds like almost perfect weather, not too hot, not too cold.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Friday: Mostly Sunny, with some patchy fog early.  High 81.

Friday night:  Mostly cloudy, low near 55.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a chance of an afternoon shower. High near 80.

Sunday: Mostly Sunny, high near 76.
