A ‘Naked Gun’ Marathon Is Coming To The Hudson Valley
"It's true what they say: Cops and women don't mix. It's like eating a spoonful of Drano; sure, it'll clean you out, but it'll leave you hollow inside."
There's only one man who can offer wisdom like that: Lt. Frank Drebin, the lead character in the Naked Gun movies played by Leslie Nielsen. I loved these movies as a kid; they were big and silly and featured some ridiculously over-the-top action setpieces. And now, all three Naked Gun films will be playing back-to-back for one night only in the Hudson Valley.
The Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers is hosting "30 Years Naked: The Naked Gun Marathon," on Saturday, April 7th, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original film. Each movie will be presented on 35mm film, and I think this is going to be an event well worth going to. Tickets are still available, but I would act fast. After all, it's a topsy-turvy world, and maybe the problems of ticket buyers don't amount to a hill of beans. But this is our hill. And these are our beans!
