Accident Has Reportedly Closed Rte 22 Southbound in Putnam County

Commuters travelling to the city coming from the Capital and Hudson Valley Region should seek an alternate route if you rely on taking Rte. 22 through Putnam County.

An overturned and trapped vehicle is reportedly causing major issues on the roadways this morning.

According to our traffic center, an accident with multiple reported injuries is causing major delays as the scene has forced Rte. 22 to close southbound near between Virginia Woods Drive and Sodom Rd/Old Milltown in Brewster.

All lanes are currently shut down at the time of this publishing.
