Well, not really.

According to LoHud.com, the American Meteor Society (that's the best name EVER!) and hundreds of eye witness accounts, there was a fairly spectacular visible meteor that streaked through the sky last night (12/29). There's a ton of accounts about how it looked, and apparently it broke into 2 pieces just before it went out.

I've attached a video of the meteor captured on a dashcam in a car on Route 287 in NJ.

Anyone else manage to catch a shot of the meteor in the Hudson Valley?
