Hudson Valley residents were delighted to rub elbows with Mark Ruffalo this weekend, as the "Hulk" actor hung out at a local brewery, posing for selfies.

Ruffalo's appearance wasn't just for fun, though. The actor, a Sullivan County resident, was at the Catskill Brewery in Livingston Manor to promote clean energy.

According to the Times Herald Record, Ruffalo spoke to 1,500 people in attendance about his quest for 100 percent clean energy. A long time critic of hydraulic fracking, Ruffalo believes that renewable energy sources should be affordable for everyone.

The brewery event was free to to the public, with a portion of proceeds from the sale of food and beer being donated to the an advocacy group that works to help people and businesses that are looking to transition to 100 percent clean energy.

Ruffalo is extremely passionate about clean energy, so I suggest we listen. From what I hear, you don't want to get him mad.
