A major baby food brand is recalling product after a packaging issue could cause potential spoilage to the food.

According to the National Food and Drug Administration Gerber Products Company is voluntarily recalling Organic pouch products after the company identified a defect in its package that could result in the product spoiling. The company states that in an effort to maintain it's commitment to quality they are working to retrieve the affected product from stores and online retailers.

In total four batches of Gerber Organic 2nd Food Pouches in two varieties were recalled. Gerber is offering coupons for replacement products that qualify. Consumers with questions can contact the Gerber Parents Resource Center at 1-800-706-0556

Affected varieties include Gerber Organic 2nd Foods pouches, Pears, Carrots and Peas, 3.5 ounce UPC 15000074319 best by dates of12JUL2016 product code 51945335X and 13JUL 2016 product code 51955335XX. As well as Gerber Organic 2nd Foods pouches Carrots, Apples and Mangoes, 3.5 ounce pouch UPC 15000074395. Best by dates 13JUL2016product code 51955335XX and 14JUL2016 product code 51965335XX
