Bass Pro Shop Preparing to Open in Upstate New York
Construction is underway at Bass Pro Shops' 4th New York location!
Back in February 2023, we learned that the popular outdoor retail giant Bass Pro Shops had started construction on its 4th New York location. The new 70,000-foot Bass Pro Shop store will be located at the site of a former car dealership near Clifton Center Road in the Clifton Park area near Albany, New York, and was expected to open by the end of 2024.
New Bass Pro Shop in New York
Many outdoor-loving New Yorkers who've shopped at a Bass Pro Shop store before can't wait for the new store to open, as they specialize in hunting, fishing, camping, outdoor recreation equipment, and much more. Unfortunately, construction has taken longer than originally planned, and the new store's official opening date is undetermined, but they have announced that they will be holding a hiring event soon.
Bass Pro Shop Opening Soon?
The popular outdoor retailer has announced they will host a hiring event in May to staff the new store, so that means they should be opening soon, right? The hiring event will look to hire 145 full-time and part-time employees (up from the originally announced 115 positions) that will enjoy some amazing employee benefits, including up to 50% off merchandise, competitive wages, paid holidays and vacation, as well as health, dental, and life insurance.

The hiring event will take place on Wednesday, May 7th, and Thursday, May 8th, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in Clifton Park, NY, according to News 10.
Interested, friendly, outdoor-loving applicants looking for a new job can apply in advance online here. However, if you apply online, you will still be required to attend the hiring event for an on-site interview.
We will update this article when the company announces its opening date. When it opens, the new Bass Pro Shop in Clifton Park will be the fourth store to open in New York, joining stores already open in Utica, Auburn, and Cheektowaga.
