Dan very literally built Happy Valley from the crumbling garage it once was. He was one of the kindest, most humble and generous people we have ever known, and our hearts are simply shattered.
GoFundMe Started For Happy Valley Founder's Family
The Happy Valley staff shared that there is currently a GoFundMe fundraiser up and running to support Broderick's family, his wife Annie and their 2 children Alden and Jackson.
The GoFundMe page created by Alyssa Follansbee states that the money raise will "help pay for funeral expenses and for Annie to navigate the transition to a single-income household while supporting Alden and Jackson amidst this devastating loss."
There is a goal set of $65,000 and as of Friday February 13th, 2026, there was over $58,000 raised.

History of Happy Valley Arcade Bar in Beacon, New York
Happy Valley became the first arcade bar in the Hudson Valley back in the summer of 2020. They opened their doors to nostalgia lovers in August 2020, right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. That didn't stop guest from visiting the Beacon, New York establishment.
At Happy Valley there's a phenomenal mix of video games from the 70s, 80s and 90s. My personal favorite is NBA Jams, (Boom Shakalaka! If you know, you know...) and all of their pinball machines.
Plus they have a fully stocked bar and fun appetizers to choose from. Happy Valley opens at Noon daily and children are welcome but they must be accompanied by an adult 21+.
Happy Valley is located at 296 Main Street in Beacon.
