Second Wine Now In The Works For Area Farmers’ Market
Coming off the success of the Beacon Farmers' Market Riesling, a signature blend made especially for the market, the inside scoop is that a custom red is now in the works.
Beacon Farmers' Market Riesling Launch
The Beacon Farmers' Market, recognized as the area's best farmers' market by Hudson Valley Magazine for the last three years, recently partnered with one of their regular vendors, City Winery, on a tasty collaboration.
The Beacon Farmers' Market/City Winery custom wine, a limited edition Riesling, was officially launched over the summer 'bursting with honey, grilled peaches, tropical flowers, a touch of spice, and finishing with lemon meringue magic.'
Deemed 'more than just a wine,' the Beacon Farmers' Market blend has been referred to as 'a tribute to all things colorful, joyful and homegrown, just like our market,' this according to Amy Bandolik, Marketing Manager for the Beacon Farmers' Market.
Amy is more than just the Marketing Manager, though, the photo on the label features her photo of flowers from the fan-favorite Six Dutchess Farm. It was shared that from there, Amy's image evolved into a drawing from Sember Weinman, Executive Director of Common Ground Farm. and eventually, following guidance from the pros and wine experts at City Winery, transformed into the label you see below.

Beacon Farmers' Market Red Blend In The Works
Wine connoisseurs and thirsty local community members alike who want to support the efforts of several Hudson Valley staples can purchase the Riesling at the Sunday Beacon Farmers' Market, or preorder for pickup at the market with a direct ship option as well. $5 from each bottle continues to support the market and their mission to 'feed, engage and uplift the Beacon community.'
As the Beacon Farmers Market prepares for the launch of the red, they're asking for your help for a label design:
Before we raise a glass, we want your help choosing the label that will set the tone for this cozy, hometown release. We’re testing out a few color palettes — dark green, gold, purple, deep blue, and light green — and we want to know: which one feels the most “Beacon in winter” to you?
If you want your voice heard when it comes to the look of the new red blend, email your label pick to: market@commongroundfarm.org. Cheers!
