Cage The Elephant released their very first live album Unpeeled earlier this year and it features a song originally written by a Hudson Valley resident.

Wreckless Eric is considered a pioneer of the punk rock and alternative movements. 'Whole Wide World' was his debut single in 1977 and appeared on legendary punk record label Stiff Records. After many years of living in England then France, he relocated to the Hudson Valley in 2011 with his wife, according to an old article in The Chronogram and is now a resident of Catskill.

He has largely kept a low profile for the last 30 years, while continuing to write and record music. So, instead of pursuing mainstream success, he's opted to play smaller clubs and bars. Although he did join the Might Mighty Bosstones for their hometown throw down shows late last year.

Eric just played a show Friday at The Colony in Woodstock. He doesn't have any other tour dates listed at this time, but you can keep up with him via his website.
