A casting call is out for people of all ages and backgrounds to help showcase the breathtaking outdoors of Sullivan County in a series of promotional videos. Whether you're a kayaker, hiker, cyclist, fly fisher, or just someone who loves nature, this is an exciting opportunity to share your passion for the outdoors.
The shoots are designed to be easy and flexible, requiring only an hour or two of your time in Sullivan County. No acting experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm!
They’re specifically looking for hikers, kayakers, fly fishermen and women, and cyclists, but anyone who enjoys the outdoors is encouraged to apply.
If none of those hobbies are a part of your life, don’t let that stop you—anyone who loves the outdoors and Sullivan County is qualified!
This project is led by New York's Joshua Caldwell, an award-winning filmmaker celebrated for his distinctive cinematic style. Caldwell, who won an MTV Movie Award, is known for directing and producing films like Mending the Line, which premiered as the Opening Night film at the 2022 Woodstock Film Festival before its nationwide release in 2023.
Reflecting on his passion for the area, Caldwell said, "As a filmmaker in the Hudson Valley, I’m passionate about celebrating the beauty of this incredible area. Through these videos, I want to share what makes Sullivan County so special and inspire others to experience it for themselves."
