Chevelle are enjoying the ride (or should we say "joyride") as their latest album, The North Corridor, has debuted inside the Billboard 200 Top 10 at No. 8.

According to Billboard, the disc is the band's fourth consecutive Top 10 album and it arrives on the charts with nearly 33,000 units, of which 31,000 were from pure album sales. The band's previous effort, La Gargola, debuted at No. 3. Most of the buzz has surrounded the group's current single, "Joyride (Omen)," which has also been a Top 10 track on the Rock Songs airplay chart.

Other notable albums on the Billboard 200 chart include Blink-182's California disc. Last week's chart-topper slipped to No. 3 in its second week with sales of 37,000 units. Blink was the lone act to interrupt Drake's incredible chart-topping run with Views, as the pop star reclaims the top spot for his tenth non-consecutive week overall.

The other rock debut comes from Switchfoot, whose latest effort, Where The Light Shines Through, arrived at No. 10 with 29,000 units. Like Chevelle, Switchfoot enjoyed their fourth straight Top 10 album.
