The CPV Valley Energy Center in Wawayanda, NY

The building on the side of I-84 is technically in Wawayanda, NY, just outside of Goshen, is owned by Competitive Power Ventures. I wasn't aware there was a literal competition in producing energy, but the company describes themselves as "experienced energy professionals dedicated to increasing America’s energy sustainability by providing safe, reliable, cost-effective and environmentally responsible electric power". CPV Valley Energy Center Details

As the company name implies, the building is in fact a power generating station (technically named the CPV Valley Energy Center), featuring both steam and gas-powered turbines. Completed in 2018, the structure is able to produce enough power to run over 600,000 homes. They also say the high-efficiency nature of their turbines has saved over one million tons of CO2 gas to date.
