New York Pitching Legend To Appear In Newburgh For Watch Party
I love a good sports rivalry (so long as my preferred team ends up with the W), but this occasion calls for a rivalry truce (since it will appease both New York baseball fanbases).... or does it?
Initially drafted by the Mets, but then later playing for the Yankees (twice) before retiring, this MLB'er has strong ties to New York, and is preparing to make a visit north of where he spent much of his career, to Newburgh Brewing, for a community event.

Doc Gooden Ballgame Watch Party at Newburgh Brewing
Save the date for Sunday August 17th, where you can actually sit down and watch a ballgame with former New York (both teams) pitcher, Dwight 'Doc' Gooden, at Newburgh Brewing. The MLB Little League Classic game between the Seattle Mariners and New York Mets from historic Bowman Field will be on the big screen, while Doc, former Major Leaguer, does a meet and greet, signs autographs, and mingles with fans.
The game is scheduled for 7pm, but earlier that day, current Major Leaguers from both the Mariners and Mets will attend Little League World Series games, supporting youth ball and engaging with young fans. Then, those Little League World Series players and families will get the chance to see those players on the field, and attend the Mets/Mariners game at night for the Little League Classic game.

How Can You Attend the Doc Gooden Watch Party?
Keep your eye on the Newburgh Brewing Company website, or follow their socials @newburghbrewing to see when tickets become available for purchase, and if you have a Little Leaguer at home, they get into the event at no cost, score!
There will be merch for sale, a live DJ on site in the taproom, and of course, the highlight of the night, Doc Gooden. Now, which New York team's jersey will you be sporting?
While our friends at Newburgh Brewing are very clearly committed to the orange and blue side of town...
I'll be proudly sporting by white and navy pinstripes.
