Can your job go a day without you or are you just too essential?

Be honest. Does it feel a little weird to be celebrating that we work for a living when so many jobs have been impacted by the coronavirus? It might but it really shouldn't

According to the Department of Labor, the unemployment rate for New York from June to July hovered around 15%. Labor Day may look a little different this year for some. Should it really hinder the celebration of your hard work?

In fact, with so many cut backs being made many workers are having to do more around the office and some people are working harder now than before.

Are you in this category? Do you find yourself working hard now than this time last year?

I'm curious, does you employer recognize Labor Day? Do you get the day off? Do you get some sort of appreciation? Maybe a bonus or a good old fashioned pizza party?
