These locally made dog statues are on display in the Hudson Valley. I’ve been to this Ulster County, NY town and saw these beautiful pieces of art. Previously, this main street had hippie buses on display that were also designed by local artists.

 "Barkin' Around Saugerties" is known for being street art that's located in Saugerties, NY. These statues are also going to support the Town of Saugerties Animal Shelter and more.

What Are The Names Of These Dog Statues In Saugerties, NY?

The Saugerties Chamber of Commerce made a post on social media highlighting the dog statues that were locally designed by 35 artists.

They also explained that each piece of art has a name and story behind it. This year, visitors can stroll through the Village of Saugerties to see these statues including "Gouden Bloemhond”, “Barks and Stripes", “Lucky Dog” and more.

"Gouden Bloemhond” was created by Mary Jo Buzzanco.

“Barks and Stripes" was created by Mike LaPeruta.

“Lucky Dog” was created by Bethany Ellison

The Town of Saugerties also provided a map of where you can find these unique dog statues.

How Can You Own A Piece Of 'Barkin Around Saugerties' Statues?

There will be a live and online auction available for “Barkin Around Saugerties” statues. This will take place in September. Those who want to bid in person can do so at the SPAF on September 14, 2025 at 3pm.

Those who are interested can also bid today through Discover Saugerties.

This would be such a fun addition to a dog lovers home, I love the idea of this. Animal lovers can also see cat statues on display in Catskill, NY.
