
What’s More Epic, This Upstate New York Drug Bust or the Comments?
11 New York residents have been charged with numerous felonies after police busted what was called "a sophisticated drug trafficking organization pumping poison into Upstate New York communities" by United States Attorney John A. Sarcone III.
The amount of drugs and cash that was seized was staggering, but it seems that New Yorkers will use humor to process even the most serious crimes. Comments on social media after photos were posted by the New York State Police deserve a spotlight of their own.

A press release shared that the recent operation seized over 1,000 pounds of cocaine, 185 pounds of methamphetamine, nearly 700 pounds of cannabis, and over $1 million in cash. The comments, however, were priceless.

"Hello, is this still available?", asked an optimistic resident. "FB Marketplace getting too wild", joked another. The Internet didn't hold back on a photo of jewelry and guns, either.

"When’s the auction I want that [Audemars Piguet]!", asked a fan of luxury watches. "Y'all selling them watches when is the auction for all this", queried another. "Weird flex but ok!", said another sarcastic commenter.

Of course the real takeaway is that a largescale operation that allegedly transported drugs into upstate New York received a serious blow (cocaine pun unintended). Now the next mission is getting some of these commenters to an open mic night.
