I am a 35-year-old man, and I just let out a "Squeee!" of joy.

DuckTales will forever hold a special place in my brain. It was by far my most favorite part of the afternoon cartoon binge I would go into every afternoon growing up. Sure, there was Darkwing Duck and Rescue Rangers, but nothing was DuckTales. The first week of shows in particular, with the Incan gold, will be some of the best TV I've ever witnessed.

So, when I started seeing FaceBook posts about Disney announcing a new DuckTales show, I had to share.

From the Disney blog announcing it: "When Marc Buhaj—Senior Vice President, Programming and General Manager, Disney XD—made the announcement, he said, “DuckTales has a special place in Disney’s TV animation history, it drew its inspiration from Disney Legend Carl Barks’ comic books and through its storytelling and artistic showmanship, set an enduring standard for animated entertainment that connects with both kids and adults. Our new series will bring that same energy and adventurous spirit to a new generation."

Honestly, I pray they don't screw it up. Also, I don't care if my kid doesn't watch it, because I will.
