How Soon Is Too Soon For Halloween?

You may have heard us ask this question before, but we have to know: how soon is too soon to start talking about Halloween?

According to some businesses, we are currently around the halfway to Halloween point of the year. Home Depot has been teasing (and selling) new Halloween decorative items for the season.

I believe they're calling it a Code Orange.

Halloween may be months away, but it's never too early to plan your spooky displays! Home Depot has released details and images of their new (and returning favorites) Halloween decor displays for the 2026 Halloween season. Take a look!

Does that mean we can start enjoying pumpkin spice again too? Maybe we should hold off on that for now.

One Upstate, New York haunted attraction, however, is making sure everyone knows just how much time is left before spooky season.

Ballston Spa, NY Haunted Attraction to Host Halfway to Halloween Event

If you're a fan of the spooky stuff and you're looking for a taste of Halloween, you're in luck.

Double M Haunted Hayride in Ballston Spa, New York is hosting a halfway to Halloween event. On their website they write "We’re not waiting until October!"

They'll be hosting their 3rd annual Halfway to Halloween event on Saturday, June 13th. Double M adds:

This special event brings the scares early with a full night of haunted attractions, cold drinks, and dark vibes

What to Expect at Double M Halfway to Halloween Celebration

Think Halloween, just with a touch of summer. Double M Haunted Hayrides will be bringing the scares this June.

According to their website you'll see the midway "come alive with eerie energy." There will be live music, adult beverages, food and drinks, vendors, fire pits, and photo ops with your favorite characters before things get really scary...

Guests will experience 6 "spine-chilling haunted houses" that are each "packed with twisted scenes, terrifying characters, and nonstop scares."

From the moment you enter, you’ll be immersed in a world where anything can happen…and probably will.

Gates open at 7:30 pm and the haunted houses will open once the sun goes down. Tickets are only available online now, but are limited.

The hayride will not be running during the Halfway to Halloween event and tickets are non-refundable.
