East Fishkill Police Department Announces Traffic Safety Initiative Plan

From now until next Friday, May 3, 2019, The East Fishkill Police Department will be implementing the Traffic Safety Initiatives listed below, according to a post on their facebook page.

• "U Drive, U Text, U Pay” - Fine + 5 points on your Driver’s License.
• “No Empty Chair - Underage Drinking and Impaired Driving”
• “Speed in School Zones” – Fines + between 3 – 11 points on your Driver’s License.
• “Seatbelt and Child Restraints” - Fines + 3 points if the child is not buckled.
• “Operation Safe Stop” – Passing stopped school bus - Fine + 5 Points on your Driver’s License.

They have said to please be aware, as their officers will be out patrolling and enforcing ALL vehicle and traffic rules, but will be paying very close attention to the above list of infractions.

It's obviously important to drive safely and follow all traffic rules ALL the time, but especially now that you know this is something they have put out there for us to know.
